Linking Clearwater Beach to St. Petersburg Beach and all points in between is Florida State Rd. 699, locally known as Gulf Boulevard. This popular stretch of ‘Golden Road’ is a 15 mile journey flanked by the Sunshine State’s most beautiful beaches , incredible real estate and fabulous communities. So let’s begin our journey at ‘The North End’…
Sand Key Park
As you travel south coming off of the Sand Key Bridge, you will have converged onto the northern most part of Gulf Blvd.. And directly on your right (1060 Gulf Blvd.) is the naturally beautiful and very popular Sand Key Park.
Located at the north end of Sand Key, the beach at Sand Key Park was opened to the public in August 1984 and occupies 95 acres offering pristine beaches, picnic shelters, a playground, restroom facilities and a dog park. Grills, picnic tables cabana rentals and outdoor showers are also available.
Natural wildlife is in abundance with this being a very popular haven for rare and unusual bird watching.
